Red Cross Red Crescent Virtual Summer Learning Series
Psychological First Aid for everyone – anywhere and anytime
Wednesday 12 August 2020, From 13:00 to 14:30 CEST
Psychological first aid is a skill set anyone can use when with someone in distress. If you are this anyone, knowing and using psychological first aid not only makes you a better helper, it also makes you a nicer and kinder person!
Through practical exercises and discussions, you will explore the basic principles of how to offer psychological first aid – Look, Listen and Link as well as how to calm yourself and others in distress off and on-line. You will also discover how offering psychological first aid will release a de-stress hormone and brain chemical that will make you nicer and more compassionate.
