COVID-19 has pushed the Red Cross Movement and international organizations to adapt to remoteness. We now work from home, practice physical distancing, and rely on video calls for meetings. As we transition to the “new normal”, we are forced to learn new tools and services, while we yearn for the days when we didn’t know what Zoom was.
These sudden changes in our labor environment intersects with a sudden spike in workload, which can make it impossible for us to work as efficiently as before. That is why we have to be aware of the support networks available that can help us navigate these complex times. In this webinar we will learn about SIMS, a network of trained information management (IM) specialists, staff and volunteers from national societies (NS) and IFRC, who leverage the power of mapping, data management and visualization tools to support NS with decision making and enhance reporting.
Organizers: Marijke Panis (SIMS), Antoni Ros (IFRC), Luis Fanovich, Claudio de los Reyes (IFRC).
Lead Speaker: Marijke Panis, SIMS Remote Coordinator
