(English) During Y-Adapt, an interactive games-based curriculum, youth have been working on tree plating and tree growing. These trees will have multiple functions. They provide shade in warm and dry periods, protecting people from the sun. These trees make the soil healthier and because of the increased amount of green in the area, it can help with (mental) health.
Firstly, the youth participants initiated a meeting with the Barangay officials. There they created a plan on how to plant these trees.
After that, the youth participants coordinated with concerned agencies, in providing the seedings that have been used for the planting.
Lastly, the youth participants planted the trees. They now regularly monitor the planted trees and care for them.
