(English) During Y-Adapt, an interactive games-based curriculum, youth have been working on the construction of flood control projects, with tree planting activity, to prevent flooding & soil erosion.
Firstly, the youth participants worked to formulate a project proposal, to the People Survival Fund (PSF).
After that, the youth participants submitted their proposal to the PSF. They then also gained an appropriate counterpart fund from the 5% LDRRMF of LGU.
Lastly, once the project proposal was approved and implemented, agriculture lands, crops and livestock will be prevented from destruction, due to flooding and soil erosion. Tree planting activity will serve as the alternative sustainable livelihood for people.
