(English) During Y-Adapt, an interactive games-based curriculum, youth have been working on community vulnerability and capacity assessment. Conduct VCA in the community is a good avenue to be able to prepare any given disaster/hazard present.
Firstly, the youth participants worked together with other youth in the community contact an organization that can assist the group on the steps and work plan to start VCA.
After that, with a feasible workplan assisted by the PRC, the youth participants conducted an orientation and coordination to the targeted Barangay officials.
Lastly, the youth participants conducted the community assembly to orientate the community members on the purpose and target of this activity. They also let the community members know how they can participate on this assessment.
