(English) During Y-Adapt, an interactive games-based curriculum, youth have been working on carrying out awareness and training campaigns. These campaigns will allow school leaders and students to understand the risks of flooding that threaten them.
Firstly, the youth participants attended training sessions on disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation. They gained more knowledge to be able to share this with students and use it for this project.
After gaining this knowledge the youth participants developed an action plan, based on their intervention.
Lastly, the youth participants organized training and awareness sessions in hundreds of schools at risk of flooding in highly vulnerable areas, through community facilitation methods.
