Project Description

(Español) A heartwarming moment of reunification at the scene of this house where volunteers, Louise and Paul, provided emergency assistance to three families whose homes were evacuated at 4 am on Wednesday. Amongst those evacuated, was this lady and her two dogs. Her third dog, a puppy, was missing in action after he fled the flames. A few minutes after this photo was taken, they were reunited: a fireman saw the puppy trying to go back up the stairs to their apartment. Tears of joy followed.

Thanks Volunteers who respond to a disaster every three hours in Canada to provide emergency housing, food, clothing and much needed emotional support. Whether it is large-scale flooding or a house fire affecting a single person, our volunteers are there to help.
