During Y-Adapt, an interactive games-based curriculum, youth have been working on disciplined waste disposal, to prevent clogged drainage canals. This helps in preventing flooding and it also prevents diseases related to flooding.
Firstly, the youth participants went to encourage all the other interested youth members in their community to participate in proper waste disposal. They discussed simple plans where to place the trash bins. Next to that the youth participants constructed objectives for their plans.
After that the youth participants went to the Barangay hall. They showed their plans to the officials and wait for their approval. They also asked for assistance to other community members who are interested in the project.
Lastly, the youth participants followed the plan they showed the Barangay officials. Then they placed the trash bins in the area they focussed on. At the end of the project the youth participants show the other community members how to properly segregate their garbage, then monitor their actions.
