The actions aim to contribute to the real and effective empowerment of women with disabilities, in the municipality of león, Nicaragua, with the aim of strengthening their individual, collective and leadership capacities for the promotion and defense of their rights, their autonomy and sustainability , guaranteeing the exercise and enjoyment of their rights and full participation in social life.
The project seeks to overcome the various barriers they encounter in their condition as women with disabilities and that may prevent their full, effective and equal participation with other people. Both; the technical and methodological capacities of the holders of obligations and responsibility in defense, guarantee and promotion of women’s human rights will be strengthened, with emphasis on inter-institutional coordination, from the national, territorial and local levels. In this way, we intend to ensure that this group has the capacity to assume individual and collective leadership, making use of the legal instruments and technical skills acquired within the framework of the project.
