Auxiliary Committees in Hojancha and Parrita for their important achievement and triumph in leading and being part of the Beach Committees that received the Blue Flag award in the beach category.
The Red Cross auxiliary committees lead and are part of the group of Ecological Blue Flag (BAE) coordinators in the communal committees that have worked with great care to generate educational and friendly practices with the environment in protection of Playa Carrillo in Guanacaste and Esterillos Beach This one from Parrita.
This recognition by the Costa Rican Tourism Institute recognizes the contribution to development and organization in coastal areas, in accordance with the protection of natural resources and the execution of actions that improve the tourist, hygienic-sanitary and public health conditions of the communities
The beach committee of Carrillo received the highest rating (5 stars) and mention of Estrella Dorada for the actions that identify and correct the possible land-based sources of pollution that lurk on the beach. For its part, the beach committee of Esterillos Este received the recognition of Estrella Dorada for a complaint in relation to the problems that water has for human consumption in that sector and Estrella Rosa for participating in management training and general information on reptiles.
For the Costa Rican Red Cross it is a great pride that their auxiliary committees lead this type of process and contribute to their communities, becoming a social actor that affects the welfare of society.
