Silvia has been a youth volunteer within the Colombian Red Cross since 2010. With experience in a variety of programs, such as youth Leadership, Non Violent Communication, Mediation, Peace action and Coexistence, School Brigades and Recreation. She was also Youth Delegate to the Norwegian Red Cross and has been actively involved in the strengthening of the Regional Youth Network and Youth Exchanges achieving the first South-South Youth exchange between the Colombian Red Cross and Kenya Red Cross. She is currently the National Youth Representative and Member of the National Board within the National Society and Member of the Global Youth Commision of the IFRC representing the Americas. Silvia Holds a degree in International Relations and has experience in International Cooperation for Peace and Human Security.
